TPE / Four Rules
The material rewards
ten minutes of care
TPE is what gives a torso its weight and its skin feel, and it is more demanding than silicone: soft, porous, and unhappy about being put away damp. None of this is difficult, and skipping it is the whole reason these ever go tacky.
- Lubricant
Water-based only. Silicone and oil-based lubricants break TPE down.
- Rinse
Warm water through both channels after every use. No harsh detergent.
- Dry fully
Soft cloth, then air-dry completely. Porous material, so this is the step that matters.
- Powder
Renewal or talcum powder once dry keeps the surface from going sticky.
